I was working with wood and cut the tip of my finger off with a saw.  The cut was at an angle, from the end of my finger down into the root of my finger nail.  I cleaned the wound really well, packed it with Dad’s Super Salve, and bandaged it with a non-stick dressing.  I did this twice a day for a couple weeks.  Then maybe once a day for a couple weeks more.  Over time the feeling is coming back into the tip of my finger, and even my finger print is growing back.

After several weeks of consistent use of Dad’s Super Salve and the bath soaks, the burn greatly improved.  Over a process of weeks his skin grew back, and he only had to have minimal intervention to recover the full use of his arm.
